 Introduction
The Aerological Observatory is an auxiliary organs
of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). Its functions include acting
as a technical center for aerological observation, improving and examining
aerological observation instruments, and accepting trainees from JMA and
overseas. The Observatory also conducts aerological observation including
the monitoring of various amounts of ozone and ultraviolet radiation.
